Position Summary:

Primarily responsible for providing continuity and/or improving the quality of patient care within Medical Imaging Services.  This will be accomplished through the use of the nursing process; assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.  The Medical Imaging RN will coordinate duties and responsibilities with the radiologist and director of Medical Imaging.  The RN will provide patient care to patients of all types, ages and medical conditions.  The RN will work within the framework of the hospital policies.  The Registered Nurse is a role of collaboration, coordination of services, and patient/family education.  Areas where the RN may function are: general diagnostic, special procedures, interventional, Nuclear Medicine, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, and CT.

Salary Range:

$40.447- $57.794 per hour

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:

1. Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing 
2. Must possess a current New York License
3. Critical care preferred. 
4. BLS, ACLS certification within one year of hire. 
5. General knowledge of all areas of nursing practice required. 
6. Previous experience in Radiology practice preferred.
