Position Summary:

The CSS Tech is responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control practices. 

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:

1. High School graduate or equivalent. 
2. Central Supply Technician certification with a minimum of one year experience as a Central Supply Technician and/or formal training in approved course for Central Service Technician.
3. Post high school education and/or experience in a medically related field may be considered.
4. Thorough knowledge of medical terminology and nomenclature of items and equipment used by the department. 
5. Knowledgeable with aseptic technique, infection control requirements, cleaning and sterilization procedures and techniques. 
6. Basic understanding of various functions of the department. 
7. Conscientious regard of technical and minute procedures. 
8. Demonstration of leadership abilities.
9. If not certified- Certification required within one year of hire.

Salary Range:

Non- Certified: $17.08- $26.46 per hour

Certified: $17.91- $27.77 per hour
