Laboratory Office Coordinator
Position Summary: Answers and transfers all phone calls into the laboratory to the appropriate departments. Records, maintains and distributes information both within and outside of the hospital to other medical facilities, by means of faxing, scanning, mailing, etc. Handles all consultation send-outs. Participates in some clerical specimen processing functions, including packaging and shipping of material. Understands processes of dictation, transcription, and demographics for downtime purposes. Educational Requirements/ Qualifications: High School diploma or GED. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Job Type: Full-Time Benefits of Working Full-Time at Adirondack Health:
