Cook/Food Service Worker

Position Summary - Cook:

To prepare and cook food to meet daily production requirements for food leaving the kitchen; for patients or residents, dining room, special functions

Position Summary - Food Service Worker:

Performs tasks involving the general operation of the food service department, (i.e., cold food prep, tray prep, service and delivery, cafeteria service, pot washing, dish washing, cleaning shifts, store room work, etc.)

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Two years' experience in quantity food production in the healthcare environment preferred.
  3. Some kitchen experience helpful but not necessary. 
  4. On the job training.

Salary Range:

$16.35 - 25.33 per hour (Food Service Worker)

$17.42 - $26.99 per hour (Cook)
