Position Summary:

The Adirondack Health Foundation is seeking a detail-oriented Summer Intern to assist with the development and management of the hospital’s artwork inventory and collection. This paid internship provides hands-on experience in arts administration within a healthcare and nonprofit setting, supporting stewardship of artwork displayed throughout the hospital campus.

This position is ideal for students majoring in art history, fine arts, museum studies, or arts administration, though candidates from other academic disciplines with strong organizational skills and attention to detail are encouraged to apply.

Educational Requirements/ Qualifications:

1. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
2. Comfort working with spreadsheets, databases, and digital record systems
3. Ability to follow established procedures and manage tasks independently
4. Professional communication skills and a respectful demeanor
5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with hospital policies

Preferred Qualifications

1. Coursework or major in art, art history, museum studies, arts administration, or related field
2. Interest in arts-in-healthcare or nonprofit administration
3. Prior experience with inventory management, collections, or archival work (academic or practical)

Rate of Pay

$25.00 per hour
